Energy Product Manager

What's it about?

As the Energy Product Manager, you will be responsible for qualifying and quantifying the problems our customers have and creating simple, memorable and commercially viable products and propositions. With an outward, customer focused mindset, you will also be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, building the business case and then championing this within the business – end-to-end.

•    comfortable with ambiguity and able to synthesise disparate information, generating clarity
•    extremely comfortable with numbers and a strong aptitude for data & analytics
•    a great listener you’ll know the value of shared understanding when solving complex problems
•    experienced in the energy industry and able to demonstrate a deep understanding of metering knowledge (3+ years preferable)
•    able to analyse our current energy customer journey and make recommendations for improvement 
•    experienced in improving products by refining their operations, business processes and reporting metrics

Role Responsibilities?

Commercial Product vision - Define the roadmap to drive towards our vision while ensuring that our products & experiences meet the promises of the amaysim brand and the expectations of our customers.

Product Operations - Analyse current processes in place that interact with industry third parties and systems and identify areas for improvement. Listen to our staff to understand what we can do to improve processes for them, that then produces even better products.

Team participation and leadership - Engage with overall team development including assisting with internal sharing and training sessions where necessary.

Cross-functional vision and understanding - Have empathy for the end user and understand the value early input from UX, Engineering and the broader leadership team to help deliver viable solutions to address their unmet needs.

Execution - Understand the need to deliver value and take an idea from concept to customer quickly. Continuously seek ways to provide ROI sooner and at less cost while still maintaining an amaysim experience and quality standard.

Culture - Define a strong product culture with continuous innovation. Improve on and formalise processes to help set future verticals and products
