Third Party Channel Manager, Energy and Utilities

What's it about?

An opening for a skilled salesperson has arisen within the amaysim Energy and Utilities businesses. Join us as our Third Party Channel Manager and be responsible for identifying, targeting and uniting with new channels and partners.


In this role you’ll have two core objectives which ultimately lead to sales growth across the company:

  • The first objective is to grow new channel opportunities through effective pipeline management, facilitate the successful on boarding of those channels and ensure that quality sales are completed in the relevant operational area. 
  • The Second objective is to manage existing channels, to build positive proactive relationships that identify risk and opportunities to ensure constant ongoing and maximum sales extraction.


You’ll work closely with the Head of Sales to target new opportunities and take the lead for segments, businesses and possible partnerships, particular to key business strategies set by the amaysim Melbourne General Manager.


No stranger to business development, you’ll visit prospective partners and form strong relationships, identifying and demonstrating sales performance of the partnerships; to actively promote the opportunity which would bring mutual value-add opportunities.


Role Responsibilities

The role is critical in executing on amaysim’s Energy vertical growth ambitions. You’ll accomplish this by leading:

•    Partner sales channels 

•    Key account management 

•    Build sales capability to drive growth and performance across all third-party channels 

•    Leadership – engaging and building a high-performance team  


Who we are looking for?
  • Extensive experience as a strong, accountable, effective Senior Sales Leader 
  • Demonstrated experience managing a Channel Sales for a similar type of retail business
  • Extensive experience in identifying and developing channels; and A track record of negotiation across channels 
  • Ability to drive performance and deliver on results – managing to budget, with an ability to build sustained improvement across areas that are underperforming
  • Ability to coach, mentor and build high engagement of a sales team
  • Charisma, with clear, concise communication at every level
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage time effectively to deliver on priorities, in a fast and dynamic environment
