As Australia’s 4th largest mobile telco, amaysim are in an exciting period of growth. We have focus on developing our various sales channels and retail presence, needing amazing Sales Representatives to help us drive brand awareness and sales of amaysim product and services. The emphasis of this role is to increase productivity from existing retail partners and acquire additional retailers in targeted channels.

 

Showcasing your outgoing and confident personality you will build relationships with a variety of staff in retail outlets, both current partners and acquiring new retailers.  

 

Working in conjunction with our growing team of Field Merchandisers you’ll visit top retailers in key shopping areas, operating on a 4-6 week cycle.  You will be based in the Melbourne Metro area and will need to travel regularly within Victoria and occasionally interstate. A car and current Australian driver’s licence are necessary for this role, with a driving allowance provided.

 

As you’re on the ground you’ll be able to provide market insights by reporting back to the National Field Manager on competitor activity.
 

Role Responsibilities
  • Driving sales and productivity in stores
  • Gaining & maintaining POS space
  • Training store staff on product knowledge
  • Setting up displays, such as dump bins or other merchandising paraphernalia
  • Guide and direct stores to their KPI’s and commercial agreements
  • Implement promotional activities with retailers
  • Acquire new partners/stores and identifying new opportunities
  • Stock management
  • Submission of weekly & monthly sales activity reports

 

Who we are looking for?
  • The role would suit people who’ve worked as merchandisers or as a sales rep previously, and enjoy getting on the road, talking about and promoting a vibrant and growing brand.
  • This is a full time permanent role, mostly Monday to Friday, where you’ll need to be able to work on weekends at retail conferences from time to time.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship building skills.
  • You’re energetic, resilient, flexible (and innovative), whilst also results focused and self-starting.
  • You’ve commercially astute with a mind for business.
  • Hold a current Australian Drivers Licence and own your own car.
