What's it about?

An opportunity has been identified for a new position within our growing Energy/Utilities businesses to Head up our sales team.


As our new Head of Sales you’d ensure the delivery of the amaysim Group Traditional Energy Sales budget, responsible for creating and delivering the growth strategy, including leading a multi-channel strategy for the Click Energy and On The Move brands. 


Click Energy is a multi-channel energy retailer that is differentiated through its channel strategy, building diversity in each state and across channels types that allow for bankable growth and delivery against budget. The On The Move business is a leader in the Utility Connections Services segment, which deals with primarily B2B clients to get moving consumers connected. Both organisations’ operate cohesively as sales channels to deliver customers to Click Energy and operate independently as brands. 


The ability to design, deliver and execute a sales strategy with the Executive General Managers team is key. Collaborating with the Heads of Marketing and Business Operations; and the Senior Leadership Team, you will take responsibility for identifying sales growth opportunities into the next phase of the organization’s growth, achieving group sales targets, maintaining and building existing channel sales performance, building key external relationships, ensuring an outstanding customer experience and building a high performing team. 


Role Responsibilities

This role is critical in executing on amaysim’s Energy growth ambitions. You’ll accomplish this by leading:

  • Multiple Retail and Partner sales channels
  • Key account management for strategic relationships across both brands  
  • Development of long-term strategic growth plans
  • Build sales capability to drive growth and performance across all channels – direct in direct and third parties 
  • Cross team activities designed to reduce churn of Retail & Partner acquired customers
  • Leadership – engaging and building a high-performance team


Who we are looking for?
  • Extensive experience as a strong, accountable, effective Senior Sales Leader
  • Demonstrated experience managing a Multi-Channel Sales within a similar retail/utilities business
  • Extensive experience in identifying and developing and executing sales strategies, tactics, plans, processes, systems and programs
  • The ability to drive performance and deliver on results – managing to budget, and to build sustained improvement across areas that are underperforming
  • A track record of negotiation across large and often complex customers engagements
  • An ability to coach, mentor and build high engagement of a sales workforce
  • Charisma, with clear, concise communication at every level
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage time effectively to deliver on priorities, in a fast and dynamic environment
